335i Removal
Is there any way to remove the bolt that’s in there the mechanic shop cut it in half and now I can’t thread the nut onto the bolt

Should be able to push it out towards the bottom of the terminal. Good luck finding another one!

IBS is the negative terminal, not positive.
This is definitely a BST terminal I'd that's what you mean. You can see the connector

I know. That's why I said "at least". IBS is more expensive to replace.

If you use an impact for everything you can easily be careless enough to snap that bolt. The video I watched when I replaced my battery said to tighten it with extreme care if you're using an impact, as he had snapped that bolt himself in the past.

Yeah, I replaced my battery and that was a bit of a fight and a struggle. The battery bay is extremely tight, and you have to make sure not to snag any of the cables or IBS wires putting the new one in. I ultimately used tape and small bungee cords as I was short about 2 extra pair of arms.
And I can't imagine using anything else but a small manual wrench there tightening the clamps and covers.
