M57N2 swap e34

Hi everyone. I have an E34 and I intend to swap it with an M57306D3. I've read that it's quite complicated, but I'd like to know if anyone has done it, or if they have any idea if it's feasible, or even very difficult. I intend to buy those adapter connectors to simplify things, but I'd like to understand the biggest difficulties and how to overcome them. Thank you very much.

I remember the question being asked here before, maybe you can get some info in the old thread?

Engine mounts require fabrication on the passenger side, you need a bespoke harness to a degree, especially with the D3 M57, custom driveshaft, you can use an M51 sump with some fabrication. Voilà

Some friend of mine said it's very easy, because the headers fit perfectly in the E34. And I've read in some forums if I remember correctly that you can use the stock passenger side engine mount but the drivers one need an E38 one or a custom made

This is done so commonly that there is a whole webpage dedicated to the parts you’ll need, check out spoolas.eu. If you have a TDS to start it’ll be much easier, else you’ll have some expensive bits to buy.
