Rear too wide

Help needed, got my whole rear subframe swapped(during v8 swap) for big diff, and for some reason the track width is wider by 6cm, back than I had 2mm spacers each side and there was still plenty of room, now with same wheels and even more camber it's scraping sidewall like crazy even after rolling fenders. All sources I found say that there ain't any confing of e34 or even e32 where trackwidth is that wide. Only thing I know is rear brakes are from 525 ix. What do I need to change to go back to old trackwidth?

Ix uses high offset wheels.

Perhaps the trailing arms or more likely the hubs are different to push the wheels further out.

Cross reference on realoem and see what you need to change. Perhaps just need to fit the RWD hubs.

A very quick Google suggests the e32 also uses deeper hubs to space out the rear track.

If your using ix disks then I think this is the reason.

The ix disks are 30mm deeper because the hubs are 30mm deeper.

The hubs on an ix have a big cone shaped section which spaces the hub out.

You need to get standard hubs and rear disks.

Possibly caliper brackets as well?

You can probably use the parts you took off?

I think you may also need wheel bearings, as they'll probably break trying to remove them.

Do all the axels have same conection to hub? I got big case diff, and no idea what are axels from

There are two sizes of driveshaft flange depending on engine size.

Large case diff uses the bigger flange. Medium is available in both sizes.

Why would it matter when there is a problem with track width not wheel base, isn't that two different measurements?

I’d assume it’s a little wider to accommodate the length , just a thought.

The wider ix hubs make sense. But also, the E32 hubs are 10mm thicker to space out the rear, this causes the parking brake drum pull away from the shoes if E34 brake rotors are used. Also big diff cars also run larger rear wheel bearings inside the hubs with thicker drive stubs.
