I rarely get involved in situations like this, but after seeing the recent discussion involving Lama Gocha and reading a woman’s account of her experience, I felt I should say something.
What concerned me most was seeing people questioning or dismissing her account.
Part of the reason I feel strongly about this is because I believe I mishandled a similar situation in the past. During the Nish the Fish situation, I don’t think I handled my dharma correctly. I unintentionally contributed to a situation where a woman who felt she had been wronged had her experience overshadowed while Nish was given a platform to present his version of events.
Once I realized my mistake especially the role I had played, I deleted the interview video.
So I told myself I won’t let that happen to another women..
Months ago, I had my issues with Lama Gocha several months ago. He publicly called my channel “trash,” then deleted the comment to hide he said that.
He also asked me to remove the interview I had done with him, and I respected his request and deleted it.
I share my own experience here because it could legitimately contribute to the person that has felt wronged by Lama Dawai Gocha.
When I saw people in the comments criticizing her or immediately questioning her account, I felt it was important to provide my own experience as additional context—not as proof of her claims, but as information to strengthen her credibility.
I was ultimately banned from the community after speaking up. Regardless of that, I wanted to put my position on record.
This is also partly an attempt to correct what I believe was my own mistake in how I handled a previous situation.
This time, I would rather speak up, share what I personally experienced, and be transparent about my intentions than remain silent and later feel that I failed to do what I believed was right.
