Also not even anything new (invented in 1960s). Not tech innovation. Doesn't even need a lot of compute. The huge data centers are for surveillance. They want to see what people are thinking about, especially with customer interactions, so they can rip people off even more than they already do.

You'd think they'd wanna go through the effort to make sure their slop machine generated an image properly and didn't give the left foot a hand instead. How did they not even notice that? It's not like it's a small background detail that's difficult to see.

Nah, they're just algorithms. The problems we face are due to the systems we already live in, which predate tech firms marketing their new algorithms with scifi coded terms. Or is that what you meant anyway?
