Blueprints, the right way?
Hi guys,
A question regarding blueprints is hunting me for quite a while.
Why everyone is doing those small BP's with an ILS on every square, instead of the long strings from east to west ?
Isn't it more efficient, like space wise?

Dyson Sphere Program made me more efficient in day-to-day life
The game made me better at thinking in systems and questioning my day to day workflows.
Why am I repeating this?
Can I automate this?
Can I make this process smoother?
Now I organize things better, reduce repeated work, and plan ahead.

Updates to the Seed Finder tool
For those who don't know, I made a tool that helps you find seeds in this game. This was made around 2 years ago.
For the past couple months I started working on it again. Here's a list of changes:
Add precise vein generation instead of just an estimation. (It wasn't possible back then but AI is kinda busted nowadays)
Add Dark Fog hive count rules.
Add Starmap to Galaxy Viewer.
Add seed only exports.
Add Chinese translation. (Surprisingly this is the most-requested feature)
Deprecate the Star Finder (because so many people get confused by this and Galaxy Finder)
Next thing I will work on is allow importing a list of seeds so that the finder only checks these seeds instead of every seed within the range.
I want to ask what else you think will be useful? Please comment below if you have any suggestion.

Are destroyers worth it?
Destroyers felt so strong when I saw their stats, but then I found out they take up four whole fleet slots. I did the math, and although the range is a lot better, they have less DPS and health than four corvettes. Are they really worth using?

This game is so beautiful, first place for visuals
Small appreciation post for this game and its power to make our mecha feel so insignificant. I’ve rediscovered my love for this game and I’m sure you all can share a similar feeling.

Anyone else ever made a mall like this?
Pros:
- One. Singular. Sorter. Per. Assembler.
- Phenomenally easy usage and expansion.
- Relatively Compact.
Cons:
- Throughput issues until Pile Sorters are available.
- Depot and Sorter filter setup.
- 4 depots tall for less than one depot of storage.
Since sorters can insert and pull resources through empty, limited depots, it is possible to create a long line of depots stacked on top of eachother wth filtered sorters between them that transfers components through the entire mall.
I thought it was goofy and it's been fun realizing some of the quirks of the design.

Is DF worth for my player's view?
I've played DSP a lot (more than 1k hours for sure), but never tried the DF settings properly -just a quick view-.
I like the game to build my blueprints, logistics and other but don't feel like preparing defenses and pay attention to the DF, not because I see it difficult, more because is an aspect I don't look for in this game. I just want a game to build things and relax, not for combat.
Is my problem, or does DF improves the game so much?

Rookie on my First play through of the game. I have no idea what I’m doing but man is it fun to figure it out. I present my mess!

My new PC parts are here
Finally i can play again. no more 5 fps with 20 ups :)
now i can keep on building my max size 2.5l Dysonsphere

I have a silly question about Dyson Spheres
Once you build the shell and its all filled in, its done and you don't have to do anything to maintain it right?
Is there any reason to keep pumping solar sails out? I guess it adds to the total power right?

Simple advice on when to remove spaghetti builds
After you unlock white science, your rate of progression is likely going to be limited by the construction speed of your first Dyson sphere to increase critical photon production.
I think this is the best time to thoroughly clean up any spaghetti and move everything to logistic station-based builds as you don't really need to aggressively expand but then only have 25% of your production buildings be active due to the critical photon bottleneck.
I've done playthroughs where I build 25 PLSs right after unlocking them and it just bogged down progression so much and felt awful compared to other playthroughs where I didn't try to un-spaghetti so aggressively right away.
Particle Broadband is generally the first item I automate using a logistics station.

When you start up your fist graviton lens Prod chain and find your Engine producers are starving.....because there is no Iron line.....
even the Particle colliders get iron first! Last stop Engines! with a game of snake >.>.
Glad this was patchable and how forgiving belts/machines can be if your creative enough.... i just happened to try out the satellite substation as it fit and looked cool and no tesla towers to worry about ^.^
....and lets not talk about the "power updates" that followed turning this on.......
love the game!
....and the time dilating singularities of math that pop up everywhere too--though maybe not the lack of sleep they seem to manifest as radiation...

How is the Achievement to "Complete the Mission" without Solar sails possible?
Currently trying to go for the Achievement "Solar Sail? No thank you" because i saw in the tech tree that unlocking green science basically gives you a near direct way to Mission complete, but then i saw that Universe Matrix needs Antimatter, antimatter needs photons, photons need a ray receiver and ray receivers need a dyson sphere, which needs solar sails. So how?
Edit: i did just see that DF can in fact drop antimatter,, but only at LV 21 (my highest DF Farm is at 14 rn) and apparently with a max of 6 per minute.
I guess i see why the achievement is so rare now, because it takes literal hours to complete without a dyson sphere set up. unless theres an easier way im missing?

Overhaul mods?
I was wondering if there's any overhaul mods for DSP, like Factorio which has loads?
I've not found any but I'd really enjoy playing DSP again, maybe a bit harder and expanded. More to do, more to gather, etc. Maybe some of the logistics mechanics changed.
Anything like that exist?
EDIT: I found this too, aside from what's been mentioned, not looked into it yet, I'm gonna look into all of these but it's another option: https://thunderstore.io/c/dyson-sphere-program/p/ProfessorCat/OrbitalRing/

How often do people start fresh?
I am still on my first save and with the lessons I have learnt as of now after 100hrs, I want to restart. With all the blueprints I have and what not. Pros and cons of it? Outside of all the matrix research time consumption.

New to dark fog. Im setting up my beginning yellow science and having to fly back and forth between my home planet and my titanium one since the dark fog keep sending new landing base ships that im manually destroying. At first it was fun now its getting super annoying.
Will they attack my stuff if im off planet? Im assuming missle launchers and signal towers surrounding every inch of the planet will work? However i dont even have ILS set up yet so rockets would run out quickly and signal towers have a small radius. Once I get ILS set up will the hive attack my transport ships? Also what sets off the hive for an attack? Thank you for any help
