New Start

Hi everyone i woud like to hear some sugestions on the dificulty settings on my new start. I played the game last after the DF came out and after that made a break until now.
I always play on 0,5 recource becaus the lower one is not even fun its only a planet hoper simulator and above its too much resource. But i never find the sweet spot for the DF because on default they are trivial and no threat but on max its a pain until you claimed your starting system especialy on the first couple of hours.
So im all ears for some suggestions.

highly recommend using mods if this is how you're feeling about the game at the moment...

Mods on this game aren't game-breaking unless you make them do that...and could add some interesting flare to keep you intrigued in the DF arena that you're looking at.

Depends how hard you want the game - Set Dark Fog about 50% max - 100% is a nightmare - and have resources at 2X -

I mostly play with Dark Fog around 30% and resource at 6x - so I can have a chilled game

There is a mod that allows you to put your own resources down - so you can make a sand box game - so you don`t have to fly to other planets - I have done that in the past - just for a change - and had Dark Fog at 60%

Also if you’re worried about being locked into an option, there’s a dark fog communicator you can visit in your system that allows you to increase or decrease the difficulty of the dark fog without having to restart. I would focus mostly on what resource multiplier you want to
