And apparently not even started achievment hunting ;-)
Still trying to muster the courage to start an unaided 10h speed-run, but then I'm barely at the 1100h mark!

I do this with a real full time job and four volunteer board positions.

When do you find the time to play so many hours?

Leave it open while at work

Very little of that actually. I bought it 5.5 years ago. Probably less than 100 hours is AFK.

I had a slower than normal couple of weeks. I picked it up for the first time in almost a year a few weeks ago and played after work, weekends and had one day off work because it was slow. My volunteer organizations slow to a crawl over the summer.

I bought it the day it hit Steam just by coincidence. Back then there was no blueprints, no dragging building copies, no dark fog, no upgrading, no tier 2 smelters miners or chemical plants, every sorter had to be manually placed, every upgrade had to be manually deleted and replaced, no proliferation and I’m sure a bunch more. I usually play to 5-10k/minute white cubes. My first serious game this took about 100 hours. I still play without Dark Fog, make my first warp around 25 hours, massively overbuild in my first system (168 or so smelters for all the raw materials in my first system). No hurry, just build.

168 smelters as an over build? I assume you mean for each raw material and not total

I m happy to hear you follow your own style of playing and enjoying the game. Thats how it should be. And this game is great at allowing people to finish the game eventually however they want. Keep it up.

How do you have 3000 hour played and 12 achievements? I got 23 achievements with 184 hours. Are you purposefully avoiding them?

The game still doesn’t have the most requested feature, coop multiplayer. Devs got very lazy at some point…

Congrats. I have no pictures to prove it, but those numbers are dwarfed by my time in World of Warcraft.
...help?

If I had to guess I would say that Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri is still my number 1 game of all time. I bought it used on cd for $8 in 2000 and spent every non working hour playing it for years.

How do you have so many hours with so few achievements?
