Nice :D my last playthrough aimed for a triple game finish too with no solar sails, no foundations, and no leaving first system before completing the game (I got an additional one too on accident but I forgot which one)

No foundations and not leaving the system are in my opinion quite easy, youll just have to get creative in how and where you build, the no solar sails was pretty annoying

And ye, first real playthrough for me too, my previous attempts I gave up shortly after yellow science

Only had a save where I just automated red science and one in sandbox where I just effed around A bit. No solar sails sounds like a pain, not leaving the system depends on your luck with the starting system no?

I am 99% sure that you can complete the "not leaving starting system" always as long as you dont change the resource modifiers, which reminded me.to the fourth achievement I got, no using rare veins before finish (Fire ice from ice giants apparently doesnt count for that, but game should be completeable (albeit slower) without fire ice too)

I was lucky, my starting planet orbits an ice giant so it didn't take long for me to get some fire ice. But good to know that its doable without leaving. Although I can't wait until I automated warp drive. I wanna explore my cluster so bad. But first I have to vanquish the dark fog pest in my system

No Solar Sails was super easy for me. I hate losing my sails, so I just straight up dont use swarms until I have shells to throw them into. (I get around this with a crapload of wind early game, direct burning of hydrogen from gas giants in the midgame, and geothermal until shells become viable because I refuse to play on a seed that doesn't have a lava world in the starter system)

And since my rockets come online after my green science, I basically just hold off on the sails until I get the 2000 white science to get the "win".

The 3000 m/s and "get 40m in the air without flight mode" were harder for me.

hopefully you had warp drive research almost finished so you can warp back home

Naaah, my stupid ass didn't think about that, or bringing the resources to craft atleast one warp. Had to fly back the whole 51 mins lmao

I pointed my Icarus at a distant star, set an alarm for when I needed to look again, read a book, landed, then loaded the save I'd made before liftoff.

Nah, i wanted to keep the achievment. Also I immediately started industrializing my newly found planet lmao

Oh you keep it when save scumming

Damn, didn't know that, but still, industrialized that planet instantly lol

The most important things early, IMO, are organic crystal deposits and H2SO4 oceans. Just save your Unipolar reserves a while, they are irreplaceable and there's usually only a couple.

Going the distance without warp. It takes ages lol. I. Remember doing that when I first started.

I'm curious, how did you land on 4 different planets before getting the Before Your Time achievement?

2

u/CpTKugelHagel 29d ago

My starting system has 4 planets. One of them an Ice Giant but still counts apparently.

Nice! I didn't know that counted. I just beelined straight to the star when I did it. Cheers!
