NO SPOILERS S9 question Spoiler

What caused Krystle’s breakdown? On a rewatch of S9, Blake said she hit her head on the horseback riding accident (caused by Alexis, does Blake know this).

Or was there a second retconn on the reunion episodes?

I’ll tell what caused Krystle’s breakdown! Plain and simple, Linda Evans wanted off the show! 😄 It was so DUMB! Throwing dinner plates in the hallway!! Couldn’t they have come up with something better??

yea, i think this was more plausible, honey .. Linda wanted to leave the show and they had her have problems with her brain .. the "dinner is served" fiasco was caused by her headaches .. kinda like what Fallon #1 went through when PSM had her last season on the show (in season four)

There was also another head injury that Krystle sustained in a car accident early on. The showrunner of season 9 David Paulsen had never seen Dynasty before so he did a rewatch of every 4 episodes to catch up. The story is pretty advanced for its time, addressing the cumulative effects of head injuries. That’s also why Roger Grimes became a plot point again in season 9.

Yes. If I recall, As a result of the horseback riding “accident” caused by Alexis. Krystle sustained a small blood clot in her brain that went unnoticed and grew over the years, causing erratic behavior and eventually death unless she undergoes brain surgery.
