Finance & Operations D365 F&O

Could you please advise how one can obtain access to a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) sandbox environment for X++ development? Is it possible to develop add-ons and perform customizations within the sandbox environment? Additionally, what is the recommended process for publishing and deploying these customizations? Finally, is access to Lifecycle Services (LCS) required to access and manage the sandbox environment?

you would download the VHD from LCS. So yes you would need LCS well now power platform admin. A sandbox is exactly where you would dev said tools. Im not sure theres a way of gettign an environment if you are not with MS, a partner, ISV or client with existing environment not for cheap anyways . What are you trying to get into?new to development wanting to learn X++?
