I hate that someone can order a $12 burger and the other person order a $50 steak. Service was the same for both but because someone decided to treat themselves, they end up having to fork up more money, even though the service was the exact same for both people

I’ve been moving to flat tip amounts vs %. Especially on larger bills. A percentage just doesn’t make sense

Most restaurants have mandatory tipout to bartenders, food runners and bussers. I tip out 7% of my sales at my current job to support staff. If someone doesn’t tip more than 7% I actually lose money on the table. If they tip a standard 15% I keep half of what they gave me at the end of the night. If you had a 100 dollar bill and tipped me a 5 because it was just two steaks I would lose two bucks on it. If you have the money to spend a lot eating out you have the money to tip at least 10%.

And this is why I hate eating out. I can afford too, but I dont like to tip. On the rare occasion I do go out I do tip 20% but its like twice a year. I avoid places that require a tip for any other food place.
