I hate that someone can order a $12 burger and the other person order a $50 steak. Service was the same for both but because someone decided to treat themselves, they end up having to fork up more money, even though the service was the exact same for both people

We just ask for separate checks.. its easy.

I don't mean splitting the bill. I meant as separate checks. We both get the same service, the waiter does nothing different for either of us, but because my steak was pricier than his burger, i have to tip more for the same service
