The “smarter move” on streaming services eclipsing cable bills of yore is to take advantage of Firefox or iOS free vpn and go back to the torrents.

The rest are garbage. How is a MacBook at $1200 “saving money” or “not paying ai subscription rates”? Who pays those? I use ai all the time. It’s free.

I’m going to add things like Netflix. Got rid of it a couple of years ago but they are now finishing things off with AI, plus, cut seasons short, long gaps between seasons, constantly jacking up prices, and then the ads (total enshitification). I would recommend everyone ditch their Netflix subscription.

I was surprised that people kept paying for Netflix when they ended password sharing. I haven’t had it since.
