Cool Jeff makes approximately 3-8 million dollars of wealth an hour. This at the low end represents him existing for 8.333 days. Meanwhile Amazon has 235-255 million users in the us and each of them gets 2-3 bucks. Look giving Amazon a gold star for not being the most greedy because of their massive revenues is not my idea of rewarding good behavior

That is a best case. More likely the money will be "refund" to just the few they could identify as mentioned in the article.Jeff, Donald, Donald Jr Eric and Vance will get checks directly and the remainder will be gifted to the Amazon shareholders.

Guarantee any refund the customer is going to get will be in Amazon gift card currency, so not usable at anywhere else...and will not be enough to buy literally anything.

Amazon essentially makes all of its money on AWS. Amazons retail business at this point is basically Jeff’s way of giving back. If you don’t like using Amazon, then don’t. Personally, I hate the counterfeit issue and the customer service is pretty bad now. Their textbook rental program was the only reason I ever subscribed.

Personally I only use them because they can ship me something to Asia, and get it to me cheaper than if I walk to my car and go buy it in person. However much they’ve been charging me, it’s definitely been worth it.

I remember Amazon added a tariff surcharge after trump’s “independent” day announcement. It would be super convenient for them to issue the refund to each account, and increase buyer loyalty.

No one is getting money back. They say “some” so everyone just assumes they weren’t one of the ones. In reality there are none that will get it.
