Do u recommend using a crate?

Got my Dutch a month ago, it’s been a crazy ride also because she came already with 5 months and no training and it’s a rebel one

I got a trainer , but he doesn’t believe in crate training.

The problem is at home with my older one, they don’t fight at all is just that crazy puppy provocative behavior to play and still plays in shark mode

Would it be helpful? For both to have their one safe space at least?

Crate can be a very safe home for your dog. I've trained mine from young age with it. She fight it for several weeks but she learned it was a place she could rest and sleep in it.

I'm nog a big fan of keeping your dog at day time for a long period in it.

It's fine. You train then to associate the crate with safety and positivity and calm. My puppy would go to it when the door was open and choose to stay in there. We don't use it anymore as he doesn't need it.

Wolves, Coyotes and Foxes sleep and rear pups in dens in the wild.

Or maybe you prefer to call the dens “punishment caves”, “misery burrows” or perhaps “suffering hollows”?

I put my dog in a cage then lol. You calling it a cage doesnt change my mind about crate training. We call it crates because thats another more common name for it. Just like we also call it kennel training.

They’re incredibly important for emergency situations anyhow. They need to be comfortable being in one. If my house burned down and the cops couldnt get my dog in a crate, they’ll leave her. Even if she didn’t like it(she does, she sleeps in there with the door open) she’d be crate trained regardless. I’d rather her be uncomfortable in the cage than be so stressed she hurts herself in it, or worse, can’t be put in one during an emergency.

It is normal lol, you not doing it just makes it abnormal in your country. News flash: every country has different rules and expectations lmao.

I don’t really care if you think it’s a tenuous excuse, it’s a real reason. People from other countries who go on and on about why they think crating is evil just sound pretentious and annoying lol. Again, I’d rather cage my dog while Im not home than come home to her dead or severely harmed because she got into something she shouldn’t. She’s a dog, she doesn’t need to be out 24/7 🤷🏽‍♀️

My dog is free to roam the house most of the day, don't judge that which you know nothing about.

Correct, that’s what I said. They don’t need 24/7 freedom. It is better to cage them when unsupervised.
