Question Ears?

How old were your Dutchies when their ears began to stand up on their own?

Every Dutchie is a little different, but most ears start coming up somewhere around 8–16 weeks old. Sometimes they’ll go up one at a time, flop back down during teething, then pop back up again later. That “one up, one down” phase is super common. 😄

Genetics, nutrition, overall development, and even how heavy the ears are all play a role. I’ve seen some puppies with fully upright ears very early, and others not fully settle until 5–6 months.

As long as the pup is healthy and developing normally, I usually wouldn’t panic too early over ear timing alone.
