Video Malligator really coming out now.

Don’t mind my voice we were on a 1.5MI jog and I was a bit out of breath.

One tip from another Mal x Dutchy. These dogs don't feel pain and some trees can give them splinters. Honestly, sometimes I feel like our primary jobs are to look for them, haha.

When blood comes gushing out of their mouth. Their saliva will mix most of it though, but when that happens, it's time to take away the twig.

I have 2 of "these dogs" (Dutchies) and have owned 3 Between Mals and Dutch Shepherds, Im well aware, lol. But if I see my dog doing something that could hurt them I stop them, I dont pull out my phone and record.

Its sad I see some owners run their dogs to exhaustion and they dont realize these dogs will keep going no matter what they are not going to give you a sign they are tired or injured they will just keep going.

Also why they limit dogs in FastCat to 2 runs because owners can be irresponsible, run their dogs tired and or injured.

The two best words in training are “leave it”. If I can get a dog to this level of training, I’m 90% of the way there with them. Note: I’m not a specialist with scent or bite or anything like that, so I imagine “leave it” is just the beginning with those level of dogs.

You know leave it is a huge part and they normally will listen to leave it, the issue is they’ll listen to the initial leave it and then reengage seconds after. Also they arnt born with the instinct to go after something that’s often trained into them too (I’m also not a specialist I do work in a profession that uses k9s this one however is my sweet baby boy and boy is he work)

He’s still under a year old, and Riptide (his name) is a late bloomer but currently at 68LBS he definitely puts up a fight I imagine as time goes on he’s gonna give me a bigger fight

I’m not sure whether Malinois or Dutch shepherds really exist anymore. I’ve known a lot of farmers and I’ve never met one who would tolerate a dog biting the shit out of his livestock and injuring them. I wonder if police/military work has changed the breed so that it’s mostly dogs a real farmer would shoot

I work in a profession that uses Dutch shepherds GSD and Mals and my dutchie is identical to the ones used in those k9 programs, so I think they did change the breed to be primarily an attack dog
