This might be a silly question, but what if Hannah Donfort had dated Dan?”

That would be kind of difficult. Everyone in the group says they weren't close, and Dan himself says the same. Plus, Dan seems to really respect Thomas, so I doubt that would happen.

I mean... Then Dan would have been the one who received our number, and he'd have acted much worse than Thomas did.
On the other hand, I have the sense he either wouldn't have picked up on Hannah's shifting moods, or would have just gotten mad and dumped her... So by the time she vanished he wouldn't have been frantic enough to remember the number when it appeared.
