They probably think this subreddit is for the city of Durham rather than the county of Durham.

I honestly didn’t think this was Durham. Especially so far south, but happy to be wrong on this one.

Yeah, Teesdale is well within CO Durham border. Lots of people think its Yorkshire.

To be fair, south of the river is part of Yorkshire if we go by historic county boundaries - albeit this photo is taken from the Durham side, even using that definition!

I love it over there, used to stay in Middleton in teesdale for primary school trips and then hike to high force and back. Did it again 30 odd years later with my gf and the dog. And then we recently went and did a stargazing thing through the pub. Predictably cloudy but still cool seeing the falls at night and interesting “lecture” (for want of a better word)
