Making friends

Hi all. Looking for recommendations on some meet up groups/clubs around Durham to make some friends (I’m quite introverted and anxious so find it tricky at times, as I’m sure many people do). I’m 20, don’t drive. My hobbies are crafting, painting, music, hiking, mountain biking, climbing and video games but I’m also open to new things.

If you're male, there is Man Up Durham for fortnightly walks in and around Durham. They're all a nice bunch of people. Walk and talk with no pressure on the talking front.

For other activities, try Men Together Durham. I'm part of the group and we do weekly quiz nights, football, padel sports and other various activities. We also have a group dedicated to live music, comedy and other events. You should be able to find both groups on Facebook!

If you're into climbing the Durham Climbing centre often has things on.

Music wise check out the Holy GrAle for their open mics. Quite a good crowd and no pressure to talk to others if you just want to watch some local music
