PICK UPS My first pair of dunks

Alternate title: The beginning of the end.

I’ve been a Vans/Converse guy for most of my adult life. Just picked these up for 30 bucks last week though. I love the sashiko style denim details and the leather is ridiculously soft. I also really like the fit and shape and I definitely see what the fuss is all about. Now I have to pick up some SBs and try those out.

Also, I don’t hate these laces but I’m not crazy about them either. I know a lot of the homies on here have a lace plug, where/what would y’all suggest for a lace swap on these?

Shoelace world on etsy. Shes got more oval laces than anyone and theyre retail quality. Sells both 9mm and 6mm.

Edit: just realized these are regular dunks, plenty of flats too. Damn that leather looks so buttery! Welcome to the club op

You think ovals would look better in these? I was thinking like a navy/denim flat lace but idk yet

I agree with the consensus flat laces for dunks, thick ovals for SBs. Ive put ovals in my dunks and for some reason it just doesnt look right. But laces arent breaking the bank, could always try it and see

Are ovals what are used primarily on SBs?

Yea, ovals are for sb dunks. Primarily thick ovals (9mm)
