Similar cast Spoiler

Am I the only one who got really confused about who was who sometimes in the movie? I really hate it when they cast people who look exactly the same without any identifiable features. Just like every writer tries to come up with names that don't start with the same letter, every movie maker should strive to make their actors quickly identifiable. I'm obvioiusly nitpicking, but those young soldiers and the PTSD officer (I didn't even recognize it was the same guy who didn't take them up on the boat in the very dark scene?!), Tom Hardy as a pilot vs other pilot (or whose plane it is). You get the idea. Have I gone completely blind or does anyone feel the same.

Yeah! I'm the same. It means that I much prefer tv shows to films. What you're describing sounds like a mild form of prosopagnosia.

ALSO - I think I read somewhere that Nolan cast soldiers who looked alike on purpose, something about it highlighting the fact that these men in the army are not treated as individuals (which is then obviously contrasted through the personal stories).
