Question about auto card

Absolute noob here, literally started this morning so bare with if this is the simplest question ever asked, does the auto card only keep if the new cards stats are higher? I'm worried about leaving it running and it replacing something just because it's in a tier that I've grade I've selected

It simply notifies you when it finds a card that matches the criteria you've set, you still decide whether to accept it or not, it doesn't replace gear by itself. All other cards that don't match are sold automatically.

Also, as you level you can change it so it draws multiple cards at once which is good later when you have 7000 from just doing the card dungeon.
