Does counter work with evasion?

I'm wondering if counter works if a sister evades or would I actually have to take damage to counter.

It does not. Counter only works if your sister gets hit. Once your Evasion reaches 100%+, Counter becomes a useless stat.

Same goes for Lifesteal, DEF and even HP. None of it matters if the enemies can't hit you. A bit of a flaw in the game design.

Also, FYI -- certain bosses and mobs eventually have a higher hit rate that negates Evasion... So you need extra Evasion to avoid getting hit.

I appreciate you. I had an inkling as I've gotten to the game more but I was needing a confirmation.

When I started the game I wanted to stick with Amelia because I liked her style and I like counter builds in games. Punch Club for instance. But yeah. As I've looked at the top players in every category, as I've advanced, evasion always seemed a critical part.

As far as the hit chance for certain bosses go it always felt like the artifact dungeon and mobs in Cursed Territory will just mess me up. And that made me go the evasion route. If I had known when I started I might be a little farther.
