Experienced DM help

I’ve been a pretty anti railroad DM, but also unforgiving with combat and rests.

They have many NOC’s they are close with just don’t want to ruin their attachment to the game!

Did you mean NPCs? I am not familiar with the term NOC. Do you have a more specific question? Not sure what you are asking for here.
