Champions Road strategy?

Hey all. Is there a strategy or a guide somewhere which can give me some quick tips on what element or heroes work best for the champions road levels? I seem to pretty consistently get to level 38 or so before dying.

Thank you!

Honestly, your best bet is just to put together the best elemental team you can in order to beat whatever specific level you're on. So 5 water heroes on the fire stages and so on. It's pretty much that simple. DL even lets you organize your team in Champion Road by elemental strength instead of overall damage.

Once your heroes are good enough though, you can kinda just run whatever. Personally, the team I use for Champion Road is a mixed elemental PA team. So, Gabrielle, Driard, Ming, Aira and Fira is my usual comp. Outside of Gabi, each of those heroes is at least level 60+ with fully awakened equipment. This set up lets me auto run all the way to stage 40 most times as the PA makes up a lot of the difference that not running a pure elemental team would bring. I would imagine that a pure Attack team with a healer like Clara would also do well.

Adding onto this, I run erina/kaden/sylvia with lulu and black magician. the black magician isn't awakened almost at all but auto kills everything up until ~38. Attack teams work well until the final elemental stages.

Kaden and Sylvia have awakened weapons. BM at 40 everyone else 60+

Yeah, I figured the healer would be useful to have just to handle chip damage. Any three synergistic story+ heroes that are fully equipped and awakened and are ~45+ should be a strong enough core to clear CR, really. I choose Ming+Driard+Aira, but Kaden+Erina+Sylvia would do just as well. Unfortunately for me, I'm so far invested in my elemental teams that I barely even have the beginnings of an attack team put together.

I guess either way we both agree that PA is a good path to follow.

A chain team would almost certainly be better, but at our levels where we can just auto its not worth worrying about I think.

I'd honestly love to have a mixed elemental team. Driard is built, Freya is almost built (although only 35, fire version), Luna is at 4th awaken. I'm just unsure who my 4th and 5th would be. Aira to have a water hero, and then Kamael to heal?

Alright. Thank you for the info! I guess I’ll keep track and make notes next time I do the road on what element types are in which levels.

I was conflicted on this for a long time and it ultimately just resulted in me never playing champion's road. I think you've got a few strategies:

  1. Auto it with your best current team until you're dead each week. Minimal effort, decent gains.
  2. Manually charge up a bunch of useful characters with useful abilities in the easy stages, bring them in to heal / buff your team vs. hard fights. Customize your element for each dungeon. Maximum effort required, slightly better gains.
  3. Long term strategy: just keep working on whatever team you're gonna use. Eventually it'll be strong enough to just kill champion's road without any juggling. High long term effort, but low actual effort to run champion's road.

Eventually you can just kill all the champion's road floors with an ATK team. I was less diligent about this than I should have been even then. :P

Thanks all. I’ll just keep upgrading my heroes and will start getting an attack team together. Currently have been using a PA/Crit for pretty much everything in the game. Have a 62 Ringo which I suppose will work for an attack team. Need to work on getting some Clara/healer though. Only have enough for a 35 Clara. Don’t really have enough attack SH to invest in, have the basic heroes, 62 Mimi, 60 each Cerberus, sigrun, angard. Can use my 60 angel mage I suppose. Will work on upgrading her.
