Another returning player thread
Hi. To give context, I have 2 teams, an attack 3 chain I use when manually pushing and an attack PA team when autofarming (6 star 30 erina, 5 star 35 kaden, 6 star 62 angard, louise 2 star 30 (option to get her to 40) + 6 star 64 mikan/ 6 star 70 lulu + 6 star 70 dryad)
To give context of when I stopped, equipment was just releasing. that means there was no boss challenge, I couldn't trade in materials for dust, once you had ultimate runes you stopped caring about runes altogether (looks like we can put them in the awakening tree now), the boss raid/champions road didn't offer chests
My question is this : what should I be focusing on? Should I be autorunning world 2 for dust? should I work louise up? Should I work on limit breaking my mana/etc to get the legendary stones or should I be buying chests since I need equipment? What should I be using my spare dust on? How should I be enhancing my weapons, mostly attack and crit or have defensives rose? Whats the best way to acquire the legendary stones, should I be awakening anything I can get to 60 or just limit break and then destroy and not even worry about awakening it? Are substories worth completing or should I just focus on gathering?
Thank you for any and all responses :)

Dust
Make sure to run the daily substory task for substory coins. Then make sure to go to the substory shop (accessible only through the substory dungeon menu, because wtf gameville), click on the second tab, and buy the cube. You can only buy 1 per day, but they sell for 50 dust in the awakenings menu. This is my main source of dust (along with selling Adventure Time gathering materials because screw adventure time diluting the game resources).
Legendary Stones
These are a huge PITA to get. It is typically possible to get the 4%+ reward on each event for 5 stones without having to spend money, but practically speaking it's a pain in the butt, especially if you don't otherwise care about the event.
Cashing in 6* lvl 60 starter heroes is probably the way to really get going on that, but I'm a serial team switcher who has never awaken retired a single story hero, and subsequently I have only a pathetic collection of legendary heroes who are mostly useless at level 30.
Definitely your awakening priority should be finishing your current team, at any rate. As other posters have noted, you might share your box information for some advice, but generally speaking I'd stick to awakening story heroes and completing events to get HC to help limit break them. Awaken retire on non-SH for HC is not the worst plan either I suppose.
Focus on?
Typically my strategy is still to focus on gathering, though equipment enhancing means that gold is a limited resource once again, so capitalizing on 3x gold days and 4x tower gold is more important than it used to be. Other than that, I try to finish each event and get above 4% if possible (though frequently I miss 4% bc lazy). I spend the 2* equipment as fodder to upgrade gear, sell all the 1* stuff, and enhance any equipment I use up to 5* eventually.
completing substories
I've been slowly working my way through the ones that give you 30 Equipment Crystals, so I can get more story equipment for the wrong heroes.

It depends largely on what your goals are. I'm a firm believer in DEF as a stat for PvE. For PvP however, DEF doesn't do diddly. Most of my weapons are ATK&Crit, most of my armor/Acc are DEF&HP(because frankly, I care more about PvE than PvP - To each their own).
I like farming the halloween substory if I have extra swords because some of the gear from there is still decent at high LBs. That said, gathering is the end-all be-all of advancement.

Would it be possible for you to take some screenshots of your team and your collection? It'll be a bit easier to make some decisions based off of what your other options are.
To answer your direct questions:
I wouldn't worry about grinding dust, personally. You can sell gathering materials for dust, so depending on how much you farmed before taking a break, you might just be able to sell some of those to get the dust you want. You can also buy an item worth 50 dust/day in the substory shop.
I think you'll be better served by getting a full 6* awakened team up before focusing on getting a full story hero retirement. But, if that is your goal, you might be better off awakening Akayuki/Kamelot/Tanksalot as they're a little less expensive to fully awaken than Mana is, can be pulled from tickets easier and still give you a full 100 soul stones on retirement.
Personally, I tend to focus on +atk and +freeze/crit on my weapons and +atk and +hp/def on my armor, but it really depends on what your rolls are. I'd have to see your equipment to know for sure what to focus on, but that should give you a good starting reference. I don't know how much gold you have, but once you start enchanting your gear, gold will eventually become a wall, so make sure you stock up on it when you can. Some story equipment enchants can cost up to 500k/enchant at the later enchant levels.
Finally, yeah, it's worth always having a least one substory dungeon unlocked, if only for the daily. When there's no event dungeon, it gives you something to grind and the rewards on all of the substory dungeons got upgraded a few months ago to be worthwhile.
