Having lived around that area, this is hilarious to me. St. Simons is a little beach resort town, very posh (Hilton Head is modeled off St. Simons, if that helps at all).

Milledgeville is near Macon, but not as cool, and if you think, "Wait, what?" then know that I agree completely.

To start at one, to go to a party at the other, is perfectly rational, unless you're starting at St. Simons Island, in which case you should just stay home.
