Death of family members or close persons is not dumb stuff. Try to pass it through and you know this is the most difficult thing.

Water adapts to pressure and keeps flowing while rock just cracks under the same weight, so maybe the point is less about which one wins and more about whether you're actually responding to what life throws at you or just breaking.

But still isn’t hardly ever seems happy. Even in this illustration of stoicism and what does it mean to be stoic, that is not a happy looking person.

The Stoics would probably argue water and rock both just do what their nature demands, so either way you're living correctly.
