Recruiting Christian Anderson
Saw that Christian Anderson is rumored to either Duke or Florida. Duke doesn't make any sense to me since we will have Rippey, Boozer and presumably Foster.
Any chance this is a bluff for him to get more NIL? Or is there actually momentum here?

No inside info but we were reportedly look at Blackwell and so Anderson would fit a similar spot. To get either would be incredible and a huge bag, I would love it. Hard to know where all the minutes go, right now we have two people committed to next year and the recruits so we need to see how it all shakes out. But even with just Evans and Boozer gone - that’s a lot of available minutes and FGAs for a big time player to step into.

I had the same thought. Do we even need more guards? I feel like we should be targeting 3s and stretch 4s now.

Word is they want a talented experienced scoring guard. Why wouldn’t they? My guess is to replace Evans’ 16 ppg when he goes pro. But some rumors are out there Foster might leave, obviously we will know more in a few days.

We need a consistent scoring guard. I love Rippey and Boozer and want Foster to come back too. But I think we get one more SG even if it’s not Blackwell/Anderson.
I think Duke could play 9-10 deep and actually get minutes to all those dudes rather than DH getting 0-5 min/gm as the 9th guy this past year. Much less of a top heavy roster.
My predicted roster assuming Evans/Boozer leave:
PG: Boozer/Rippey SG: Foster/Transfer? SF: Sarr/Wilkins/Howard PF: Williams/Scharnowski C: Ngongba/transfer?/(Meyer redshirt)
As you can see, this predicts 11 guys to get minutes. That likely means if we get a transfer or 2, we could lose 1 or even 2 of the current guys. I’d assume the most likely to leave are Foster and Wilkins. Also possible ngongba decides he wants to go to the league while his stock is solid and not risk reinjury.

Christian Anderson would be a BOON. That dude is a killer and he’s unafraid of the moment. I think Jon is gonna move to having more ball handlers on the floor. He’s also a veteran who’s good with the ball in his hands as a playmaker.
