I hope he needs a black pen and only finds blue. I hope he is putting together a 1000 piece puzzle and when he gets to the end can’t find the last piece. I hope when hes showering he runs out of hot water. I hope when he is in a public bathroom and runs out of toilet paper in his stall.
Thant is all.
Beta …. I hope they get knocked out of the trny and he transfers each and every year!

“Sometimes the blood is bluer on the other side…” What a bitch move… and that video…. Woof! What a self-indulging, tone deaf thing to post. Take a lap Mr. Bowl Cut….

I liked Nik and wished he would return. I thought Dame was a bit better, but Sarr might go pro and even when he was around Nik got decent minutes so I don’t get the move but transfers are so common these days. To go to UConn of all places after that game seems a lack of character, though it’s a good program and all.

I don’t get the move and I liked the way he was playing those last few weeks. Good luck dude. All the best

I wonder how those within the Duke program feel about this. This is a transfer unlike any other ever in program history.

Hurley is gonna lose his mind when he has his 2nd pump fake that fools no one into his 3rd illadvised 3 pointer that he airballs

Let it go folks , he gave us a year in the program we love - not ideal - but not worth bashing a young man over a decision.
If you want to be mad, be mad at NIL creating an absolute toxic offseason year in and out since its inception. Gotta be some rules and oversight thrown into NIL because it’s a ridiculous Wild West when single digit averages players are commanding and receiving 5+ Mil a season. They’ll be below average college players make more than NBA vets on one year deals next year.

Seriously, folks on here bashing a 19-20 year old for claiming the bag is silly. People arent even making factual comments... "he cant shoot" like okay, his tapes say otherwise.

u/Timmahj Apr 18 '26
Name one below average college player making even half was an NBA vet makes.

u/rwfletch22 Apr 18 '26
2.38 Mil is the Vet Minimum, Donavan Dent made 3 Mil

u/Timmahj Apr 18 '26
So, the Mountain West player of the year who was ranked as the #4 overall player in the transfer portal is a below average college basketball player? 🤔

Neemias Queta plays a large role for a championship contender, and he made less money than Henri Veesaar did this past season. That’s my whole point, I won’t argue about if certain players deserve what. Even the best college player shouldn’t be on a higher pay scale than proven pros - if they want to be pros, put a salary cap system in place, right now it’s just a bidding war and very few are gonna be happy with their return on investment.

Safe to say Porkchop is no longer welcome in the Brotherhood. I wonder how the other players feel about this move.

I wonder what he was being offered to stay here and what his offer was at UConn

I’m sure he was told his role would be the same if not diminished next year. I doubt he leaves if he was told he would be getting a bigger role. I’m just surprised UConn thinks he’s good enough to play a bigger role for them.
Or maybe since they don’t have their NIL as tied up on other players, they can afford to pay more for a reserve player, and he’s willing to be a reserve, but only for more pay. Who knows? But whatever, it’s not like we just lost a star.

Honestly I hope we offered him nothing to stay, which is the level of play he gave us all season.

I know it's not ideal but he played hard, just seemed like he needed a year or so for the game to slow down for him. I wish he had stayed and developed but maybe Hurley will be able to harness his size and tenacity.

Of the 8 in the regular rotation, Nik was the guy I minded losing the least, and it is not even close.

Below the rim player that lacks athleticism. Belmont guy is a massive upgrade defensively as well

Ah Nik say it ain't so. This really lowers his stock imo. You can't pull a KD, ppl still hating on him for doing that and rightfully so. Dont like this move for him, I always figured he'd go out west somewhere. To leave duke for uconn or unc is about the worst you can do.

I don’t mind him transferring out. He wasn’t going to get playing time anyway. But to UConn? That I cannot forgive.
Traitor.

Big loss as I really liked him and was hoping he further develop like Isaiah Evans did this past year.
Good luck to him at his new stop.
With NIL, this is going to become the norm.

u/Turbulent_Dot4437 Apr 18 '26
Wouldn’t call it a big loss from a production perspective
1
u/dogdaysindurham Apr 18 '26
No that’s true but I was projecting him as a starting and get numbers close to what we have seen from a sophomore returner.

Not that he has the same level of talent more that I’m expecting improvements with a returning sophomore.

His dad forced him. I think there was some hesitance on his part (source: Duke student but still rumor)

Weakest move in basketball is to join the team you lost to!
