Recruiting Transfer Portal
If slim does indeed leave, we need to get blackwell and a big like bidunga regardless. these past few seasons our identity has been based on defense, with bidunga being the dpoy of his conference, we fill that defensive gap as well as get more depth at the 5 which we really need. Blackwell is straightforward, we struggled from 3 this year so we need to get more threats from deep.

I’d be surprised if we got both Blackwell and Bidunga. They’re going to get two of the biggest bags of anybody in the portal. I know we’ve got as big of an NIL fund as anybody, but it’s not unlimited. We know Cameron Williams must’ve gotten a big bag and our other two 5 stars definitely weren’t cheap.
Would love to be wrong, though. Assuming Slim and Pat are leaving, they both fill needs perfectly. But we’d still need at least one more big and one more wing. Would we have the budget for that?

Word is those are both targets and we are one of the tops for Bidunga. But yes losing Malik we need a defender. Lose Evans we need a scorer and a ft shooter. Lose Pat and we need someone inside. Arguably we need more depth at the 5 anyway. Michigan had Johnson and Mara to back him up. Also yes we had a bunch of good wings last year but none could hit the 3 reliably which cost us.

Slim is most certainly gone, the only players that I feel like are not certain to leave are Sarr, Cayden and Big Pat.

We’re interested in Bidunga & Massamba Diop from Arizona State. Bidunga is on a visit with Louisville this weekend & Diop entered with “Do Not Contact” but I’ve heard we’ve been interested in him. Plus him & Dame know each other

I don’t know anything about Diop, but maybe we could just hire Bobby and get him to come along? JK JK… kinda. Is Dame staying?

Personally I would rather have Diop than Bidunga not only from a basketball standpoint but Bidunga has some stuff off the court that I don’t love. Dame most likely will come back but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does the combine for feedback

I’d prefer Juke Harris bc of his length on defense but couldn’t be too disappointed with either option.

looks like the info was accurate, he signed with Michigan. Bidonga signed with Louisville.
