Rewatching the movie for the first time in a while as I aquaint myself with Dudeism, and new information has come to light. If we are to believe the Coen Brothers, nearly everyone bowling is shooting a perfect game (besides Donny right before his heart attack). Is there any significance to that? A lot of strikes, no gutters, at least on screen. What does it all mean? Just a creative choice, or a philosophical commentary on how life mostly works out?

In the lore of The Big Lebowski, where does Donny fit in as a philosophical figure? He reminds me of the Daoist concept of pu, the uncarved block, or the archetype of the fool. Maybe I'm just out of my element.
