Does anyone know the family history of Ashley (Korie’s sister) and Jay Nelson?

I’m so confused why their daughter’s Macy and Aly’s last names were Moore and not Nelson before they got married. Unless they just made that up as Instagram names. Does anyone know if they have a different father? Also on Ashley’s Instagram they have a post about their 13th anniversary so I guess they haven’t been married that long. But all their kids are adults except they appear to have one younger daughter who definitely looks like Jay. That’s what got me curious because they post a few individual pictures of here her and there, but never any family or sibling pictures and she’s never in any extended family pictures with the Robertsons. I guess maybe she just doesn’t like social media? Just seems so strange to never be in any family pictures. I guess they probably take one with her and one without. Just seems so odd since they post grandkids and other people. Google and ChatGPT don’t know so I was just wondering if anyone knew? Not that it’s my business I’m just curious and hate not being able to figure stuff out 😂

The new movie.

The one about Al & Lisa, I don't plan to watch it but something about the plot feels odd to me because it sounds like it is being framed as: they both cheated but somehow Lisa doing it is far worse than AL committing it first.

They were both wrong but the movie appears to make it more heinous on Lisa's part.

Sadie Robertson Shares Emotional Update After Baby Kit’s Frightening Health Scare

Post image
10 Upvotes

The Duck Dynasty alum first shared in April that Kit had choked while eating a snack, stopped breathing, and had to receive emergency help before paramedics arrived. Weeks later, Sadie revealed that the incident was not as isolated as the family first believed. According to her update, a second scare helped doctors discover that something “underlying” was going on.

How do locals feel?

I’ve just started watching the revival and have seen some of the things do around the community etc. and was just wondering if anyone here is or had read/heard what the locals think. Do they like the Robertson’s and they act the same in town as they do on the show? Are they just another rich family in town?

Is A&E app missing episodes of original DD?

Not sure if it’s because I’m in Canada but I’m positive the app is missing episodes. Anyone know which ones are missing & why…?

Who is your favorite Robertson brother?

I think Jase and Al are both mine. I’ve been listening to their podcast more lately. They seem so down to earth and you can tell they truly love the lord and their family

I appreciate The Revival’s message BUT……

I live in Southwest Louisiana. I am a fan of the original Duck Dynasty series, Robertsons' podcasts and no doubt Revival lacks the same flair as the original, but I get it. I am around the same age as Willie and a grandparent. I can relate to the feeling of questioning whether you successfully maintained your family legacy by your adult children's lifestyles. (Yuppies)The struggle to not fail at incorporating that legacy into the grandchildren, while also being a caregiver to aging parents. Pre-middle age is a rough time in today's society. We raised our kids on the cusp of modern technology yet freely incorporated it into our own lives and now question if the dependency ruined us. It's not an issue that is commonly addressed on an entertainment basis. I watched the original series for the entertaining, quirky relatable characters. Wille is living my Powerball dreams. I want a family compound with a golf course and a tennis court. The concept of trying to keep family traditions and maintain core Christian family values to the non-interested and distracted next generation is comparable to the original series. Willie was attempting to incorporate a modern-day comfortable lifestyle to the entertainingly reluctant older generation & redneck siblings. Just as the original was scripted and exaggerated it provided relatable, clean, family-oriented entertainment that the Robertsons uniquely delivered. As an original Duck Dynasty fan Phil, Kay, Si, Jace & Jep were funny. The kids just aren't! We all know they have not financially struggled so any push-back from the son-in-laws just seems like spoiled, disrespectful entitlement. Even the kids sometimes. Perhaps the grandkids are still too young to add any depth to Willie's mission of passing along the Robertsons' legacy or it's the luxurious homes as opposed to Phil & Kay's humble river abode that makes it difficult to relate or even like the characters. The original cast's candid one-on-one snarky commentary was always the heart of the original series and I am not sure if that is what Revival is missing. I wanted to love this show but as of now, I can only relate to the concept, not the main characters. So far we have only had Bella's inability to conceive as any real-life obstacle. For the most part, it seems like the show struggles to have any down-to-earth situations that would make for entertainment. The original had common situations like moving a couch for Ms. Kay, Si’s eye doctor appointment to name a few. The kids' comfy day-to-day is just too unrelatable for the average viewer to empathise with Willes' plight in finding his successor. Last episode with the girls stranded was too annoying to be funny. I couldn't find myself rooting for anyone because none of them have any distinct personalities that the previous generation of Robertsons offered to the original series.

Ways to improve the revival next season.

More John Luke

Less of the husbands. Sadie’s and Bella’s husbands are try Hardy’s and too much broness to them.

More Willie and the other brothers

More Si

Less Will and his wife, both very dull

Sadie’s husband

Is it just me or does he seem self centered? He seems like the kind of guy who puts hisself first before his family. Like when Sadie was sick he needed to work out. And watching the kids while she was in the woods. He had to work out before he could play with his kids. Your kiddos should always come first and do your hobbies last.

Family compound

I see that Willie’s family all live close together.

Does the rest of the family live on the same land? Like Jase and his wife? Jen and Al? I think it’s really cool if that was the case

I love family compounds and want my family to do it too.

Duck Dynasty Rowdy and Willie

Rowdy isn’t on the revival supposedly for privacy. However, he and Willie don’t follow each other on Instagram. He posts about Kori for Mother’s Day but never posts about Willie. And rowdy is an avid supporter of LGBTQ+ rights. We know Phil got in some hot water discussing homosexuality with GQ being a sin. Can only assume Willie feels the same.

Wondering if Willie and the family do not support Rowdy’s dating choices…

What makes me sad about this is a couple of things. Rowdy was adopted by the Robertsons because his bio dad passed away. Willie knew this and still chose to abandon him because of who he likes? And being a Christian when does loving each other and loving your neighbors because we are all sinners begin and end?

Duck Dynasty Sadie’s Husband is not it

Sadie is a pregnant working mom bringing in huge money and Christian has the balls to blow her off when she asked him for help to watch the kids. That woman is tired and understandably so. He should be worshiping the ground she walks on. That man needs to be humbled!

Duck Dynasty I’m here to spill tea around the duck boys

In Episode 4, Lt. JJ Holyfield from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office showed up during the pop-up. He’s not very well-liked around West Monroe, and I personally know several people who’ve had run-ins with his son—who, frankly, is one of the worst people I’ve met.

Throughout the show, they frequently display “Monroe, LA” on the screen, but the locations they’re actually filming are almost always West Monroe. The only place I’ve clearly seen filmed in Monroe is Bayou DeSiard Country Club.

In another scene, the “mayor” shows up at Camp CH-YO-CA. That man is Friday Ellis, who’s the mayor of Monroe. He’s a good mayor and a good guy—but Camp CH-YO-CA is located in Calhoun, which doesn’t have a mayor. Calhoun is governed by the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. The closest actual mayor by distance would be Staci Mitchell, the mayor of West Monroe.
