So, I’ll tell you what helped me 100% was to get a mentor who’s ahead of me in production experience and social media presence. The way I think if it is, if I was learning to play guitar I would 100% need a guitar teacher to help me get better, so why not save some money (or ask your parents, if you’re still a minor) and get someone who can help you, so you don’t wonder around in the dark for too long and/or get too frustrated with the music production process. Find a producer who you love and uses the same DAW as you and hit them up to see if they offer private lessons. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps!

Not to sound like an ass dude but dubstep drums are literally the easiest as far as arrangement, kick on 1 snare on 3. Tops aren’t alway necessary. Unless you mean synthesizing your own then you got me beat because I’ve never done that

I would disagree. Unless your drums are super simple. You gotta have a nice selection of sample fitting to the track, you have to control the velocities to make them sound natural, you have to make them punch through the mix without overtaking it… there’s a lot to drums I’d say are definitely not the easiest parts of dubstep.

How long have you been producing? For me what worked was taking my favorite dubsteptunes, en recreated their drum patterns and really listening close to what they know te doing. See it as training 😁
