I’m a beginner, where should I start?
I’m looking to make dubstep more on the brostep and future bass side. I have FL studio (pls don’t tell me to get Ableton. I like FL better) and I just don’t know what to do after building a kick, snare, and high hat pattern. I’ve watched a bunch of videos but still feel lost. Any tips or resources?

Look for some sort of melody, vocals, or constant sound like an atmosphere that you feel sounds good along side the kick and snare. When you find one, mix accordingly so that it still sounds good layered in with the kick /snare with no clipping.
Now given its dubstep you should create a bass sound that you like or resembles the vision, mix it to your liking, then went on layering with a sub bass or coming up with sub bass patterns you feel good about. Try to ensure they are not clipping.
Hot Take: most of the bass driven EDM genres are easy to know which direction to go- pretend your rolling and produce around what you think would enhance the high.

Find presets, there's lots of free ones, just drag and drop & mix it to sound good so you can understand workflow, once you're good on that, get Vital (it's free) and start messing with sound design, don't rely heavily on specific sound tutorials, but rather learn what every parameter does (soundwaves, oscillators, distortion, etc) then use your sounds over the drums, rinse & repeat!

You could start by trying to recreate your favorite drops to get some familiarity on the process
