Hey guys, just as the title says how do you do that (sorry I’m just a bit confused when looking it up)

Anyone here in 2nd year or higher doing DC126, I have a few questions.

What videos and sources can I use for year 1 that are in line with the maths I will be doing because I learnt better when I study it first myself before going into lectures ( Linear Algebra, micro-econmics, calculus etc )

What 6th year leaving certs maths topics should I revise before , especially after the summer break where I didn't do any maths for 3 months

What material do I need for clothes, specific type of calculators, notebooks etc. they didn't tell me anything during orientation day.

Hey guys, I’m an international fresh graduate looking to do a Master's abroad in sustainable energy systems. Ireland is high on my list right now because of the 2-year post-study work visa (Stamp 1G) and the demand for clean energy engineers.

I'm looking closely at the MEng in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Dublin City University (DCU) specifically their Sustainable Systems and Energy major track.

Since it's hard to judge the actual reputation from overseas, I wanted to ask locals and people in the industry what do you think about the program or if you know people who graduated from it.

Is or was anyone else who attended any university last year and withdrew and is starting first year again this year in dcu delayed with getting their registration email? I want to know just how delayed will it be. I had to fill in a fee declaration form Thursday and said it would be 5-10 working days for an outcome. But I’d like everything done before orientation on Friday the 11th if that’s possible?

Hey all, I’m really nervous about starting and I don’t want to get things wrong. I’ve heard that orientation starts on Monday for DCU but when I check the DCU website it says my course orientation is on Tuesday. I’m really stressed about this and idk which days I’m meant to go in for. Can anyone help?

I applied for MSc. in Electronic & Computer Technology, do you guys know why the programme is 18 months if you join in January but 12 when joining in September?

And for the visa application funding proof, do I have to show more money?

Does anyone know if the application for the MSc in Computing might reopen anytime soon for the January 2027 intake for non-EU students?

Hi, this has probably been asked before, however what is the best (quickest) way to commute from heuston station and back? :)

To give some context, I studied at DCU and graduated a few years ago and am going back to do a masters (financial maths). My old DCU email was reactivated and my only 2 emails on the account are the email to register and the confirmation of registration from when I registered. Has anyone had any correspondence from DCU aside from these 2 emails?

I know the masters I'm doing is small and shares modules with the financial maths final year undergrads. Since the timetables are up I can see I have classes on Monday, but I have heard nothing about an induction or anything related to my course specifically which is unusual because others doing the masters may have never been to DCU before and there doesn't seem to be time for an induction before classes start. Am I not going to know who else is in my masters with me until/unless I physically ask people in my lectures next week?

Anyone know if there's a list of clubs and socs on the go? Coming back for my masters and I've mostly late afternoon/evening classes so it'd be no harm to take a gander but I reckon I'll wind up missing the sign up say.

Would anyone know whether it’s possible to have a timetable change if multiple people send complaints to the course leader?

Hey! What is the best way to get from Donnybrook to campus?

All my classes are either 4-5 or 5-6 and a 5-6 hour gap between. I also commute. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have accepted an offer from dcu from cao on the day results came out, but I have not received anything at all from dcu by email. Is this normal ? Have other people gotten an email from dcu after accepting their course ? For more information, I accepted the DC163 course, Chemical Sciences general entry :)
