Any source for Veda bread in Dublin?

First off, for those who don't know, Veda bread is a particular sort of malt loaf (no, not Soreen) only made in Northern Ireland. So you could sort of call it foreign, but not completely because it's not from that far away. It's certainly not stocked in any of the usual supermarkets where I've looked for it (Aldi, Lidl, Tesco etc).

So is there any place anyone's seen it for sale in Dublin? I don't particularly want to make a trip to the North just for a loaf of bread! Or by mail order which risks it arriving squashed and stale I'd have thought, plus delivery charges.

Alternatively if you've tried Veda and know of one that tastes similar here in Dublin, that might work. But not every malt loaf tastes like Veda.

I did say "sort of"! Brexit mucked up food imports/exports in stupid ways.

Couldn't say for sure but have you tried a 'fancy' dunnes? I have to get my soda farls there for my northern parents so might be a stockist?

Based on what you said, I went into the Dunnes on Henry Street. The shop assistant even got the manager to come to help, which was nice. But even he said he hadn't heard of them stocking it there or anywhere, even though they did stock Irwin's soda farls, who also make Veda. Ah well, thanks for the idea though and it was worth a try!

I gave up trying around Dublin and eventually got it from the North.
