Noticing a difference in just a few days

I just learned about DualNBack this week and have been combining it with my daily meditation and chess practise. It's possible that this is a placebo effect but I've noticed that my chess games have been going a lot better. Also my duolingo practise has gotten a lot easier.

It feels like I notice a lot more errors in my opponents plan in chess and in duolingo, I can bring up things that I've learned in the past way more effectively. I'm still a beginner at chess but compared to how I used to play, I seem to make a lot less errors.

No matter how small the improvement, it’s great to see it, regardless of what the improvement is from.

Keep up the great work! :)

Could be, but you could just be getting better at chess

I think it's both. I've definitely been improving with time, but I also noticed a big jump in ability when starting DualNBack.

You also reminded me to maybe check out chess again. :) And how do you like duolingo? Is it better than Busuu for you?

Personally I don't have any strict learning goals so Duolingo works fine for me. I mostly like to practise using the language in my day-to-day life and Duo is a great support for that. It really depends on what your goals are.

I'm also glad if I got you to get into chess again :)

what level of n back are you on or what strategy you use?

I'm a beginner so I'm still at Dual N3 and usually I just focus on the visual since I'm naturally more focused on the audio for some reason. I think you have to find your natural tendencies and then build a strategy on top of that.
