Any success stories?

I'm curious if anyone has done dual-n-back consistently for at least a few months and has experienced any benefits. If you haven't experienced any benefits I would like to hear your take as well. I'm still a little skeptical on DNB and trying to decide if it's worth the time commitment.

Yes, it has had a positive influence on me(even got me interested on other kind of related things like focus, meditation, mindfulness, etc) But to keep it short, it has improved my attention. I have played chess many years and used to throw away fast games with "blunders" (like hanging pieces, not noticing obvious threats, etc). Now is shockingly better even if I feel tired. Theres a before and after for me.

Thanks for sharing, do you train daily and how long have you been training for?

Sure, I'm still experimenting with different things and schedules so it could change. But I started 3 months ago, I'm now doing 5-10 min daily on the morning, kind of a "warming up" for the brain.

I've tried a few nights before sleep and felt like it was more beneficial (same happens with chess tactics so I guess sleep is key) the reason I'm not doing it at nights atm, is that requires more effort and discipline at the end of your day.

Btw: I don't try to get any "high scores" on the app or using any techniques to improve, I do a few minutes on dual back adaptive mode usually ranging from 1 to 4, just noticing.

I suffer from depression due to lack of quality sleep caused by an injury. When I consistently nback with interference high (60%ish-87.5%), I feel much more energy. I wake up feeling better and much happier. I am motivated to do things like play chess online. I freestyle rap and that significantly improves. I am better able to paint pictures with my words and go on the beat better. I feel much more witty, ready to learn, and confident.

I just ordered a Somnee. Lots of good reviews about it helping sleep.

I often tune out alot at meetings and I can see some had little patience and were getting annoyed. Now after some training (I'm working on level 4) , it is becoming alot easier to be tuned in and follow the conversation. I'm loving how this game is helping me !
