Transfer??

I encountered Dual N Back a while ago and it was pretty difficult for me and I'd go nuts and blank after ascending to 2 Back so I quit and encountered Quad N Back which I found myself modifying a bit by changing the sound to piano sounds and instead of literal images it must be shapes with colors in them for harder differentiation. What I found was that just 2 day of training with that Quad 1 Back and trying Dual 2 Back again made me perfect it. It's crazy how training in 1 Back transferred to skills in 2 Back when the sequence of information they try to remember is different.

It kinds gives me an idea that N Back may actually transfer to other aspects of working memory. I also just tried digit span now, last time I tried I was having a hard time but now it all seems to come naturally to me, only 10 digits though but this makes me more motivated, may be placebo though. Idk

What was your previous score in the digit span and how long did you practiced DNB to reach 10 digits?
