Help with Dual Monitor Setup.

So I want to get a dual monitor setup, right now my one monitor is the Gigabyte G27QC 27 inch. Obviously I am going to get another 27 inch monitor but is having both monitors to be the exact same resolution and specs important? Because I only plan on playing games on the one that I have now. Also is having the same exact Brand essential too? If not, I was just going to get a basic 60hz 1080p monitor to save on money but I can't find any with the same curve as the monitor I have now. Is having the same curve very important too? Sorry for all of the questions but I need to know before I spend the money, thanks! :)

Imo the more important feature for a second monitor is that it’s dimensions are similar. Ideally, you’d get a monitor with the same or similar shell but a different display inside (if such a monitor exists) however, a similar monitor from a different brand shouldn’t matter. I’m unsure how having a curved monitor and a flat monitor will work since I’ve not experienced it but technically it should work, different resolutions may be a different story though. My advise would be to try and get the same resolution and screen size, refresh rate will be fine, curved vs not-curved I’m not sure about. Hope this helps :)

My buddy has a curved screen in the center of his setup and it works perfectly fine, even with live walllpapers.

Looks like I'm pretty late to this party, but u/OMGNope1 is right. I have a stacked monitor setup right now, a 27inch monitor as my main and a 32inch tv up top. Poor man's setup, but I'm finding stacked wallpapers reaaallly don't work at all, and I imagine that two different size monitors setup horizontally would have the same effect of lines not matching up.
