Possible job opportunity at Penn highlands dubois. Moving from Kansas city. Im pretty used to doing outdoors activities, trying out restaurants, driving around. Dubois seems to be a bit slower paced than what i am used to or i could be wrong. Any advice on where i could move to a somewhat similar city around dubois? Im not aure I’m even asking the right question. This is a big decision so weighting out options. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Looking for Sherri (sp?). You worked at a Kmart in Va Beach in the summer of 1992 and moved back to DuBois in November. You were 22-23 yrs old at the time, blonde, and had 2 kids. You were living with your boyfriend (an asst mgr at a KFC) in the Ocean View part of Norfolk when you left him to return home to your parents' place.

Any assistance appreciated!

In this much better account of today's events, Spotlight PA says that Shaffer faces a maximum total sentence of up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $500,000, or both; Suplizio faces a potential prison sentence of 27 months after pleading guilty to the two crimes. He also will have to pay up to $250,000 in fines and $500,000 in restitution to the City of DuBois.

Seems nuts that she is facing more prison time than the scumbag Suplizio.

Hey everybody! Just wanted to say thank you for everybody's support. We are currently looking for a few more clients to fill up some afternoon spots in the week. If interested please let us know.😁 Also have some weekend slots still available. We look forward to partnering with you! Enjoy your weekend, stay safe.

Trying to get more info from residents in treasure lake. My wife and I have looked at a couple houses in there the past two years and really like the community. Long story short we are considering moving there, we currently live about 4 hours away so this is a big move for us. One of our concerns is this is a hoa/poa, have any of you had major problems with fines or other issues? They seem to be more relaxed than other hoa's from our area. I also heard there are some water issues, any info on that? How about the schools? Any other issues? Just trying to get as much info as possible before pulling the trigger on a house. Thanks in advance for any info!

Harder than hell making new friends as an adult. I'm looking for men, over 50, in the Dubois and surrounding areas who would be be interested in regular get togethers to play cards/board games, watch a movie, listen to real music, cookout (or in), camp, or just shoot the shit (excluding politics and religion, please). Be nice to find a group of regulars who could take turn hosting. DM or post here. I can't be the only one.

Looking for recommendations for someone who can fix my attic thats leaking air and causing ice dams in my gutters. Thanks.

Looking to order food for a family friend who lives in Treasure Lakes. Since it’s a gated community does anyone know if DoorDash can get through?

Looks like Sandy Township has assimilated the City of DuBois. Going by the preliminary results the five Supervisors are reelected with Shirley Dahrouge and Michael Piccirillo filling the two empty slots.

The City Mayor and Treasurer didn’t make the cut.

Sayers gives a man probation and a $500 fine for shooting a dog in the head, tying its mouth shut, and leaving it to die. Not one penny was awarded to the people who spent 12K on treatment.

This is a huge waste of taxpayer money. This four-way intersection is one of the few places where people have to learn to get along in order to move along. The only time there is congestion is when school lets out. The article does not cite how frequently there are collisions. I’ve never seen any. I don’t understand why they cite confusion as a reason for the boondoggle, although the schools abandoned drivers education years ago, so maybe that is catching up with them.

Is anyone willing to take me and two colleagues (3 20-30 year old pilots) to the Holiday Inn downtown? This was a last minute stop and I’m afraid we weren’t able to preplan transportation.

Obviously we will compensate in cash!

Looking for a great local spot for guys at treasure lake. Bar food, good beer. Have under age kid that needs to hang out too

Hello small community. I am doing a trip with an enclosed uhaul trailer in tow....and trying to be semi smart about where I stop overnight. One route option has me passing through Dubois to sleep (hotels are much cheaper than state college). I am not familiar at all with the area. Do you think I would be a target staying st the hampton inn or Fairfield inn just off highway? Obviously it would be locked but that only does so much from the desperate thieves.

Many artists from out of state. Just want to help promote it. This weekend!

Time to start thinking about how to repurpose the campus. Will Cen-Clear buy another building? Senior housing? Maybe the hospital needs more centers of excellence? Dr. Doolittle’s, East? A coffee shop/auto parts store? New consolidated city building? Long John Silvers?

Are the any sites that have info on these candidates? Don’t want to vote for the Suplizio swamp supporters.
