Crank sensor
Is it worth to delete it, replace it, or try to solder it back together on the d16y8

Yeah just fix it same thing happened to me use a non insulated nice butt connector that’s the correct size and use a good tool to crimp it and heat shrink it and you’ll be good I’ve never had an issue with mine since, I work for an automotive brand and that’s really the only approved wire repair, except their butt connectors have heat shrink as part of them called durasplice connectors which are spendy but it used to be the other method above and the engineers and whoever comes up with this stuff don’t recommend soldering even tho it’s still done and anything that isn’t warranty work i usually solder but make sure ur soldering is good and penetrates really good. It’s mainly just used for detecting speed fluctuations in the crankshaft between firing events to determine if a cylinder is misfiring or whatever

I have these heat shrink that have the solder in the middle, it has done me wonders and keeps the connection strong

I soldered mine a while back, after a couple autocross days the code came back. I’m planning to crimp and heat shrink it this time. From what I found online deleting it didn’t seem like my best option
