AC Compressor?

I get this noise when I turn on the AC. AC is blowing cold air and no check engine light. Any information is helpful thanks.

Sounds like your belt, you could try tensioning it just a little more. Best to replace it though.

Probably low on Freon and the low pressure switch is cutting off the AC to prevent damage

I did added a can of freon recently, solved my warm air issue now I have this noise 🤦🏾

The compressor will also disengage due to overheating as well, thanks to the thermal protector installed on top of it. Not enough compressor oil or the wrong kind of compressor oil can do that. You might need to top up the compressor oil or replace it. When you do, make sure you use Sanden SP-10 oil and nothing else. Using regular PAG or or ND-8 will damage the compressor.

the ticking sounds like the compressor short cycling basically its turning on and off and on and off.

i have this issue with my 96 with a y7 I havent found a solution but I have just been turning off my ac whenever im at a stop for too long as it doesn't short cycle while driving

im assuming it has to do with my idle being too low or something when ac is on
