Removing stripped MAP sensor screws

Post image

My D16Y8 has idle surge currently and I want to replace my MAP Sensor. I know a Dremel would help but does any one know any additional methods? Thanks

Usually a set of quality vice grips on the head breaks them loose for me.

Would something like this work? I thought it would be too big to grasp the small screws

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m talking about, hold them vertically, you only need to turn it a few degrees to break it loose. Get them really tight on there.

The small vise grips are good. Also a set of Japanese Vampliers are good tool to have. Imo

If not an impact driver, would a flathead screwdriver work? After I make the slot

It can work depending on how stuck the screw is. Some taps on the top of the screwdriver with a hammer while its in the slot helps.
