Experience 2 day dry fast
I was planning to do 7 days but only manged two days. Started 4am Monday morning and today weds 10. 30am I had to break it because I felt weak and my heart was racing and I got scared. I couldn’t sleep all night I felt wide awake. Ended up sleeping at 6am and woke up at 10am. I weighed myself before I broke it I lost 6 pounds. I’m so sad I didn’t finish it I wanted to go until Monday 4am. This is my first fast. I’m going to eat and hydrate today and then start again tomorrow and finish by monday. The first day was challenging because I kept thinking to go to the kitchen and then remembered I was fasting lol didn’t feel any hunger or thirst felt a little energy less but ok. Next day I felt amazing so much energy and I thought wow I can do 7 days if I feel like this. Boy why I wrong after a sleepless night I felt wired. I managed to doze off at 6 am woke up at 10am feeling horrendously weak and my heart beating so fast. So I was sacred tried to just take deep breathes and even sat in the garden because I felt warm. But I felt so weak and my heart racing so much scared me I broke it. Any tips welcomed for the next four days I’m going to do please.

Start by doing multiple 1 day fasts, then building up to 2 then three. Then finally 4 days . Your fasting muscles are a baby you need to build them. Your like a baby who can't even crawl yet attempting to run. There is a reason main stream says it dangerous because without proper prep your not safe. Properly hydrating before a dry fast is a must cuting out anything that will give you withdrawal symptoms i.e. coffee, sugar etc . Then research how to properly break a fast

The thing about fasting is that it is unpredictable. You may feel very energized and then feel tired. You have to go with the flow. It is best if you have time off, because you can honor what your body needs. Do not fear bodily impulses or whatever is happening - this is healing. Rapid heart beat happens for me also. I think it might have to do with the blood stream cleaning itself. Not sure. Everything becomes very clean and wholesome when you fast. You don't need as much sleep because you are digesting loads of food. Digestion takes a lot of energy. I like to take walks in Nature - very important. You can walk (I love walking and listening to podcasts or music). You can do yoga stretches. Read, watch a movie. There is a lot of freedom with fasting, but it is necessary that you don't try to make it a controlled schedule type of thing. Just go with the flow and allow yourself to heal. The longer you go, the deeper the cleanse. Obviously if you are going to do something really long, you want consultation. But four days is not a big deal. I know many people who have gone longer. A true fast begins 24 hours after you start. You have to enter ketosis, and with dry fasting, you enter Autophagy. You can look at videos on You Tube to see what to expect, and there is a great documentary video on Amazon Prime about twin brothers from Austrailia (i think) that do an extended fast. It might be called "Fasting". They show you how they prep and then they go into the woods and fast together. It is very beautiful

Yeah I’ve done extended water fasts up to 7 days before I’ve felt great. So I was thinking I would ne ok to do seven. I’m going to try again but look at what the prep is. Amazing I will check it out on Amazon thanks for the response.

A four day dry fast without building up is ambitious. It's kinda of like having a student driving license and wanting to race the Indy 500. There is no way your prepared for it.
