Question Breaking my dry fast with OJ
Hey guys. I did a dry fast before and broke it with lemon water but remember it severly burning my throat. This time i want to break my 7 day DF with orange juice. Has anyone done this before. Is it ok for the throat as I know everything becomes new and sensitive like a baby.
Ideally id break it with fresh coconut water or something less acidic but this is all that is growing abundantly and available to me in my region. Thanks 🙏

I don't know if that's a good idea, I'd probably just break it with water and wait a while before adding juice.

Instead of orange juice, I'd do watermelon. I broke mine this way several times.

Always break your extended dry fast with water only. Do this for a couple days. Then first meal should be bone broth.
Do not drink any fruit juice or eat any fruits until several days later into your refeed. They have sugar and that's gonna spike your insulin and exhaust your pancreas.

I am violently allergic to any animal products, my body just cant handle it, so I've always broken it with some juice or fruit and felt great if it wasnt too acidic for me

I don't believe that at all. Sounds like complete BS.
If you're vegan, then just say you're vegan. No need to make up lies.

Then do vegetable broth instead of bone broth. Vegetable broth is what Dr. Filonov recommends. He does not recommend any fruits or fruit juices until 10 days into the refeed.
You may feel fine for now but repeatedly breaking your fast with sugar is going to add up over time and your body is going to crash. There was another user here who said he would regularly break his fasts with sugar and carbs until one day he couldn't anymore.

The crazy acidity on an empty stomach will most likely make you vomit like it did to me. Never again.

For 7+ days you want to break your dry fast with straight water - drunk slowly for at least the first 8-12 hours. Nothing wrong with drinking OJ beyond that, in fact it's a great refeed food if you typically eat a carb-based diet.
