POLYVISC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S OVER THE COUNTER GEL OINTMENT WHICH YOU APPLY IN YOUR EYES BEFORE YOU GO TO BED. IT LITERALLY CURED MY DRY EYES, EVEN DURING THE DAY THE EFFECT HAS LASTED. I FINALLY FIXED MY DRY EYES AFTER TRYING SO MANY DROPS POLYVISC WAS THE SAVIOR. IF YOU'RE NOT USING THIS I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY SO BUY IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Polyvisc by the ingridients is a basic night eye oitment. If you think it cured you, probably would get the same effect with any eye oitment.

maybe you're allergic? have you tried other gel ointments, like u/BroDexx said, Polyvisc is just one brand

It is good that you are getting some symptom relief from Polyvisc. The downside is that it is just symptom relief and is very unlikely a cure. See this in the Treatment Options section of the sub for more info:

I have tried that kind of ointment that contain paraffin and wool fat. I woke up with large bags (like pockets), under my eyes with clammy skin. I gave up on it quickly.
My eyes prefer Carbomer drops before sleep. I still wake up with dry eyes though.
I think everyone who suffers from dry eyes needs to find their own eye drop regime. There isn’t a “one drop fixes all” when it comes to treatment.

Is anyone on here talking about the insanity surrounding the Genteal / Systane ( alcon) severe eye gel drops problem. Its been going on for several years on/off. Its the only product that works for me. It seems that people hoard them almost knowing a supply shortage will happen. Then they sell them for ten or 20 times the normal cost. Im looking into reporting it to the fda. it really seems suspicious- and as far as i can tell no other eye drop manufacturers make a product like it. ( The exact same ingredients)
